Full Cast, Creative Team Set for Woolly Mammoth’s Stunning

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company will present the world premiere of David Adjmi’s play Stunning, to be directed by Anne Kauffman, March 10-April 6, with an opening set for March 16.

Set in the Syrian Jewish enclave in Brooklyn, the play centers around 16-year-old Lily whose cloistered life with her much older husband is altered with the arrival of her enigmatic new African-American maid.

The cast will include Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Clint Brandhagen, Gabriela Fernandez-Coffey, Michael Gabriel Goodfriend, Laura Heisler, and Abby Wood. The design team will include Dan Conway (set), Helen Huang (costumes), Colin K. Bills (lighting),and Ryan Rumery (sound).

Adjmi’s The Evildoers is currently playing Yale Repertory Theatre. His other plays include Strange Attractors, Elective Affinities, Marie Antoinette, and Caligula. Kauffman received an OBIE Award for her direction of The Thug, and will be represented later this season by God’s Ear at the Vineyard.
