Simply Sondheim, a celebration of the near-25-year-relationship between Signature Theatre and Sondheim’s work, begins tonight. Signature presented its first Sondheim work in 1991 with Sweeney Todd, and in the intervening years has presented 24 productions of his musicals. The showcase features songs from the entire Sondheim canon, from "Another Hundred People" to "Getting Married Today," and stopping to present "Color and Light" and "Finishing the Hat" along the way. Additionally, Signature’s original Mrs. Lovett, Donna Migliaccio, will perform "The Worst Pies in London" from Sweeney Todd.

The musical is directed and choreographed by Matthew Gardner, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. The orchestration is by Jonathan Tunick, and the musical supervision and vocal arrangements are by David Loud. It features Austin Colby, Kellee Knighten Hough, Donna Migliaccio, Paul Scanlan, Bobby Smith, and Stephanie Waters.

Performances will run through April 19.
