American Shakespeare Center Sets 2009-2010 Season

The American Shakespeare Center, in Staunton, Virginia, has named the productions that will comprise its 2009-2010 season at the Blackfriars Playhouse.

The summer season, to run June 17-August 30, will include Shakespeare’s Much Ado about Nothing, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Titus Andronicus. The fall season, to run September 1-November 29, will include Henry IV, Part 1, The Rehearsal, Much Ado about Nothing, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Titus Andronicus. The winter season, December 1-30, will feature The Santaland Diaries and A Christmas Carol.

ASC’s 2010 Actors’ Renaissance Season, set for January 1-April 4, will include Twelfth Night, Doctor Faustus, The Alchemist, Henry VI, Part 2, and The Roman Actor. The 2010 spring season, April 7-June 20, will include The Knight of the Burning Pestle, All’s Well That Ends Well, and Romeo and Juliet. The Bring ‘Em Back Alive reading series will feature Edward III (April 19), The New Inn (October 11), Michaelmas Term (November 8), and A New Way to Pay Old Debts (March 14).
