William, Kate, and More Fictional Royals Celebrate King Charles III's Broadway Opening Night

As a newly crowned monarch, Tim Pigott-Smith leads the cast of the Olivier Award-winning production.

In Mike Bartlett's new drama King Charles III, which opened on November 1 at Broadway's Music Box Theatre, one of the world's most famous families takes the stage. The play follows the longtime prince along with his sons, Princes William and Harry, and William's wife, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, as they deal with the death of Queen Elizabeth II. At the production's opening-night celebration, the cast of ersatz royalty spoke to TheaterMania about fairy tales, American audiences, and questions concerning England's future.
