Tony Nominee Randy Skinner on the Good Times He Had Working on Dames at Sea

The director and choreographer reflects on his experience with the intimate musical revival.

Randy Skinner, a 2016 Best Choreography Tony nominee for Dames at Sea, recently sat down with TheaterMania to look back at his experience with the show. The 1966 musical parody of Busby Berkeley-style movie musicals, which Skinner also directed, featured a small but mighty cast of six, including John Bolton, Mara Davi, Danny Gardner, Eloise Kropp, Lesli Margherita, and Cary Tedder. Reminiscing about his time working with the impressive ensemble, Skinner said, "You come into the room each day and whatever you envision, they can do."
