Tommy Tune and More on the Fascinating Rhythm of George and Ira Gershwin's Lady, Be Good!

The Broadway legend and fellow costars of New York City Center's first 2015 Encores! production discuss and perform selections from the 1924 musical.

It's been more than three decades since nine-time Tony winner Tommy Tune has starred in a full-scale musical in New York. For just seven performances, from February 4-8, you can see this legendary hoofer back onstage in the New York City Center Encores! revival of George and Ira Gershwin's 1924 musical Lady, Be Good! In this screwball romance, which serves as the origin for several music standards, including the inimitable "Fascinating Rhythm," Tune heads a cast of Broadway favorites like Douglas Sills, Colin Donnell, Jennifer Laura Thompson, and Patti Murin, none of whom, given the fact that the show is literally 91 years old, were very familiar with it. Hear what they had to say about discovering this old-school American classic, and go inside the rehearsal room to see Tune and company tapping like there's no tomorrow.
