The Kitchen Concerts: The Skivvies
We noticed a trend with many Broadway performers: In between their eight shows a week, they like to rock out
at venues around New York with their bands. So we're bringing them closer to home.
Since not everyone can make it to Rockwood Music Hall or Bowery Ballroom, we’re inviting Broadway rock stars into TheaterMania’s office kitchen to perform a few numbers. To inaugurate The Kitchen Concerts, we asked Lauren Molina (Sweeney Todd) and Nick Cearley (All Shook Up, national tour) of The Skivvies (recently profiled as our ”band to watch” to stop by for an evening jam session. And, true to their name, they stripped down the tunes and the clothes.
Rock on.
You can catch The Skivvies (and special guests Alice Ripley, Wesley Taylor, Eden Espinosa, and more) in their skivvies on January 28 at the High Line Ballroom.
