Sutton Foster, Steven Pasquale, and Miriam Shor Get Ready for a Rowdy, Reconceived Wild Party

Andrew Lippa's 2000 musical returns to the New York stage via Encores! Off-Center.

It's been 15 years since Andrew Lippa's musical The Wild Party was last seen in New York, with a cast of heavy-hitters led by Julia Murney, Brian d'Arcy James, Idina Menzel, and Taye Diggs. But fear not, the show is preparing for its first major revival, from July 15-19, under the direction of Leigh Silverman for Encores! Off-Center. The cast, this time around, has the same star-wattage as the original, with Sutton Foster leading a company made up of Steven Pasquale, Brandon Victor Dixon, and Miriam Shor, among others. And not only that, this production will be wildly different from the first, with several new songs and a brand-new beginning and ending. At a recent press day for the production, the cast and creative team spilled secrets about this raucously entertaining musical revival.
