Six Degrees of Separation Celebrates a Long-Awaited Opening Night
John Guare's Pulitzer Prize-nominated play last opened on Broadway in 1990.
The first Broadway revival of John Guare's Six Degrees of Separation celebrated its official opening last night at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre. Two-time Tony nominee Allison Janney leads the cast as wealthy New York socialite Ouisa alongside John Benjamin Hickey as her husband, Flan, and Straight Outta Compton star Corey Hawkins as Paul, the young man who cons his way into their lives. Trip Cullman directs the cast of 18, all of whom reveled in the play's return to the Broadway stage. We caught up with them after their opening-night bows and heard firsthand why they regard the play as one of our modern classics.
