Side Show Celebrates Its Opening Night and a Second Chance at Broadway

Daisy and Violet Hilton are back on Broadway at the St. James Theatre.

Side Show, the Henry Krieger-Bill Russell musical about the lives and vaudeville careers of conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, celebrated its Broadway return last night at the St. James Theatre. Seventeen years after closing its first Broadway run, Emily Padgett and Erin Davie open the revival as the starring duo who evolve from sideshow freaks to mature, confident women. After the curtain came down, TheaterMania spoke with the leading ladies, who stayed side by side through the press line. The show's creators also shared their hopes for the musical in its second stab at the Great White Way.
