School of Rock's Broadway Stars and Movie Alumni Rock Out Together On Opening Night

It's one big rock-and-roll reunion at the opening of Andrew Lloyd Webber's brand-new musical.

School of Rock made its official screen-to-stage debut last night at the Winter Garden Theatre where Broadway legend Andrew Lloyd Webber celebrated the opening of his latest musical. After the show, TheaterMania caught up with Alex Brightman — who follows in the footsteps of Jack Black as down-and-out musician Dewey Finn — as well as the rest of the stars, most of whom aren't old enough to see the original PG-13 film without adult supervision. Along with Webber veteran Sierra Boggess (the production's Principal Rosalie Mullins), the young rock-and-rollers chatted about bringing the movie to life onstage while the all-grown-up movie cast shared their reactions to the brand-new Broadway adaptation of their childhoods.
