Scandalous Doings on Broadway

Theatermania visited the cast of the new Broadway production of Scandalous to talk about putting together a show based on the the world's first media superstar evangelist.

Featuring book and lyrics by Kathie Lee Gifford and music by David Pomeranz and David Friedman, the show is set in 1920's Los Angeles and is based on the life of the infamous evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson (played by Carolee Carmello), a woman whose passion for saving souls equaled her passion for making sensational headlines.
