Santino Fontana and Skylar Astin Introduce Audiences to God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater

Alan Menken and Howard Ashman's very first collaboration returns to the New York stage.

Before Little Shop of Horrors and Beauty and the Beast, Alan Menken and Howard Ashman created a musical inspired by a Kurt Vonnegut novel. God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater premiered at the WPA Theater in 1979, playing only 49 performances and being lost to time. Now, Encores! Off-Center, under the guidance of Jeanine Tesori, is bringing it back for five performances only. Directed by Michael Mayer, the production stars Broadway veterans Santino Fontana and Skylar Astin, all of whom believe the time to discover this little show, a piece of theatrical history, is right now.
