Meet the Brand-New Annie Coming Home to NYC

Original Annie director Martin Charnin helms the national tour.

Since its Broadway debut in 1977, Annie has become the definitive American musical, with songs that little girls will continue to belt into their hairbrushes for decades to come. TheaterMania talked with Issie Swickle, the young actress living out her Annie dreams in the musical's national tour, which comes to Brooklyn's newly renovated Kings Theatre from December 15-20. The show is directed by none other than the original lyricist and director Martin Charnin, who's bringing his joyful vision back to New York audiences.
