Laura Osnes and Corey Cott on the Swingin', Big-Hearted New Musical The Bandstand

Director/choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler and costar Beth Leavel introduce this Paper Mill Playhouse premiere.

A war widow joins her late husband's best friend on the road with his all-veteran band. Thus begins The Bandstand, a rollicking and surprisingly emotional new musical at Paper Mill Playhouse starring Broadway favorites Laura Osnes, Corey Cott, and Beth Leavel. Pretty soon the sounds of 1940s swing music start saving their souls. At a recent open press rehearsal, the trio, joined by director/choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler, discussed the healing nature of music and the emotional power this show has on their own lives.
