LaChanze, Norm Lewis, and More Get Jazzy in This Cabin in the Sky Sneak Peek

Vernon Duke and John La Touche's 1940 musical is the first City Center Encores! presentation this season.

In Vernon Duke and John La Touche's 1940 show Cabin in the Sky, "Little Joe" Jackson is a charming ne'er-do-well who dies in a saloon brawl and is given six months on earth to prove his worth. In this production footage from the upcoming New York City Center Encores! production, an incredible cast including LaChanze, Norm Lewis, Chuck Cooper, Michael Potts, and Carly Hughes make the case that this musical is worth another look. Check out Ruben Santiago-Hudson's direction, Camille A. Brown's choreography, and Jonathan Tunick's re-creation of the musical's original orchestrations.
