Kristin Chenoweth Pulls Into Broadway On the Twentieth Century

Peter Gallagher costars in the Betty Comden, Adolph Green, and Cy Coleman musical revival.

Kristin Chenoweth, the pint-sized Tony winner with a 10-gallon voice, made her official Broadway return last night in On the Twentieth Century at the Roundabout's American Airlines Theatre. TheaterMania caught up with Chenoweth and her costars after their opening-night bows to chat about the revival, back under the bright lights for the first time since 1979. Listen to what Peter Gallagher, Mary Louise Wilson, and more of Chenoweth's onstage comrades had to say about treading the boards by her side — particularly a buff Andy Karl who enjoys using his 4'-11'' scene partner as nifty weight-lifting device.
