Keith Carradine, Justin Guarini, and Alexandra Socha Get Ready to Paint Your Wagon

The little-known Lerner and Loewe musical returns to New York City in a production of City Center Encores!

In the Lerner and Loewe canon between Brigadoon and My Fair Lady is Paint Your Wagon, a show that hasn't seen a major New York production since the original, in 1951. In the spirit of its mission to give unheard scores another go, New York City Center Encores! is bringing this tuner, about a gold miner (Keith Carradine) and his daughter (Alexandra Socha) in Gold Rush-era California, back to the stage for a run May 18-22. Hear what Carradine and Socha, joined by costar Justin Guarini, have to say about this under-the-radar musical, and take a look at the stars, including the hunky Nathaniel Hackmann, as they perform a few songs from the little-known piece.
