Josh Groban and Denée Benton Introduce Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812
Dave Malloy's opulent new musical brings War and Peace to life.
Broadway's The Great Comet is a musical created by Dave Malloy and directed by Rachel Chavkin that gives glowing life to a section of Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace. But according to Denée Benton, Josh Groban, and the rest of the cast, this new show is much more than "a complicated Russian novel" in which "everyone's got nine different names." In this video from a luminous opening-night party, the show's team calls their production "full of magical energy" and something audiences may never see again.
