Inside the Rehearsal Room of Bullets Over Broadway

Meet the cast and creatives behind Woody Allen's new Broadway musical.

Woody Allen and Douglas McGrath's 1994 hit crime-comedy film Bullets Over Broadway, true to its name, is coming to the Great White Way in a new musical adaptation, beginning performances at the St. James Theatre on March 11. The star-studded cast features Zach Braff as young playwright David Shayne who gets mixed up in shenanigans with a dangerous mobster in an attempt to get one of his plays to the stage. The cast also stars Karen Ziemba, Brooks Ashmanskas, Nick Cordero, Marin Mazzie, Vincent Pastore, Betsy Wolfe, Lenny Wolpe, and Heléne Yorke, who will all channel the roaring twenties as they croon the old-timey standards that make up the production's score. TheaterMania caught up with a few of the cast members, along with director Susan Stroman, to chat about what it's been like bringing this Woody Allen classic to the stage.
