The nominee reception for the 60th annual Drama Desk Awards was held yesterday, May 6 at New World Stages, where the season's biggest stars from Helen Mirren to Matthew Morrison gathered to celebrate with the rest of New York theater's elite. Between champagne toasts, the newly minted nominees took time to chat with TheaterMania about awards anticipation and plans to kick back when the dust finally settles.

The Drama Desk Awards honor excellence in all areas of New York theater, including Broadway, off-Broadway, off-off-Broadway, and not-for-profit theater. The awards will be presented during a ceremony hosted by Laura Benanti on May 31 at the Town Hall.
