Gorillaz Creators Present: Monkey: Journey to the West at the Lincoln Center Festival

The fantastical journey that is Monkey: Journey to the West gave the press a special sneak peak at the dazzling performances that its audiences will experience at the Lincoln Center Festival. Monkey is a musical theater piece based on a classic Chinese folktale “Journey to the West,” which dates back to 1592. It is conceived, written, and directed by Chen Shi-Zheng. Gorillaz creators Damon Albam and Jamie Hewlett have composed and designed the piece. Monkey: Journey to the West plays at the Lincoln Center Festival July 6-July 28.
