Good Heavens! Jim Parsons Introduces Broadway to His Act of God

The Big Bang Theory Emmy winner stars as the man upstairs in David Javerbaum's new comedy.

For his third Broadway appearance, Jim Parsons has decided to follow up his stunning performances in The Normal Heart and Harvey with one that's bound to top them all. He's playing the Big Guy, the Heavenly Father himself, God, in David Javerbaum's new comedy An Act of God at Studio 54. And Parsons, who has won several Emmys for his savant-like physicist Sheldon Cooper on TV's The Big Bang Theory, isn't even intimidated. Parsons, Javerbaum, and God's angels Christopher Fitzgerald and Tim Kazurinsky spoke with TheaterMania to discuss all things lordly and God's new throne on the Great White Way.
