Fun Home Alum Sydney Lucas and Daisy Eagan Bond Over a Skateboard Sesh in Central Park

Broadway's youngest Tony-winning actress picks up some swagger from another Tony-nominated young'un.

In 1991, Daisy Eagan became the youngest actress ever to win a Tony Award as the 11-year-old star of The Secret Garden. She left the biz for a while, but now she's back and ready to take on Broadway as an unadulterated adult. Still, she figured she might as well check up on the latest generation of tykes tearing up the Great White Way…and maybe throw some of their "Special Skills" onto her own résumé. No surprise her first choice was Tony nominee Sydney Lucas, with whom Eagan recently shared the stage for a Lincoln Center concert production of The Secret Garden. The pair of Mary Lennoxes hung out in Central Park where they compared Tony notes and Lucas gave Eagan her first skateboard-riding lesson. We can't say she's ready for the X-Games, but she definitely looked the part — and in an audition room, that's half the battle.
