Chita Rivera and Alan Cumming Perform a Heavenly "Nowadays" From Chicago

Go inside the rehearsal room as the pair prepares for Rivera's upcoming Carnegie Hall concert.

Broadway living legend Chita Rivera will take the stage at Carnegie Hall on Monday, November 7 in a new concert celebrating her illustrious career. The show will feature a host of special guests, including Rivera's great Broadway pals Alan Cumming and Andy Karl. In anticipation of the event, TheaterMania was invited to go inside the rehearsal room where Rivera and Cumming offered a sneak preview of one of the iconic songs that will be performed, "Nowadays" from Chicago. Rivera, of course, originated the role of Velma Kelly in that musical's original 1975 mounting, and as this number proves, it's still heaven.
