Behind the Music of The Bridges of Madison County: In Her Broadway Debut, Whitney Bashor Opens the Ex-Files on Robert Kincaid

Whitney Bashor sings Jason Robert Brown’s folk-inspired tune “Another Life” as Robert’s first wife, Marian.

TheaterMania went behind the scenes of Broadway's The Bridges of Madison County for an inside look at a recording session with some of the stars of the new romantic musical.

Whitney Bashor makes her Broadway debut as Marian, ex-wife to National Geographic photographer Robert Kincaid, played by Steven Pasquale. Bashor offered a sample of her character’s featured number entitled “Another Life,” a folk-inspired melody that delves into her past marriage. Take a look as Bashor and composer Jason Robert Brown share their thoughts on the tune and its place within the score of the new musical, now in performances at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
