Avenue Q's Trekkie, Rod, Lucy, and More Ride the Second Avenue Subway

The human and puppet stars of this long-running musical take a ride on their namesake subway line.

At the start of 2017, New Yorkers were delighted with the opening of the brand-new Second Avenue subway line, bringing Q-line service to the Upper East Side of Manhattan. There were no residents more pleased than the denizens of Avenue Q, who recently decided to hitch a ride on the trains that bear its name and talk to some of the passersby. TheaterMania was lucky enough to tag along for the journey, which was 100% Trekkie Monster-approved.
