Clive Owen, Jin Ha, and the Minds Behind M. Butterfly Celebrate its Broadway Return

Playwright David Henry Hwang and director Julie Taymor join their stars on opening night.

M. Butterfly opened last night at the Cort Theatre, bringing David Henry Hwang's Tony-winning play back to Broadway for the first time since its original 1988 production. Clive Owen and Jin Ha costar as French diplomat Rene Gallimard and Chinese opera singer Song Liling, who spin a love story speckled with international espionage and personal betrayal.
