If the range of an actor is determined by the kinds of parts they play, Bryan Cranston is one of the best. He's impressed with comic turns on Seinfeld and Malcolm in the Middle, frightened with his multiple-Emmy-winning work on Breaking Bad, and dazzled Broadway audiences as President Lyndon Johnson in All the Way. As the film version of Robert Schenkkan's play, for which Cranston received a Tony Award, gets ready for its May 21 HBO premiere, we asked Cranston to recount his worst audition — one which accidentally involves punching through a wall. As Cranston puts it, the experience certainly was "interesting."
