CleverLyrics
I am a huge fan of Stephen Schwartz. The cleverness of his lyrics is unique, and you can tell his work even without knowing he wrote the lyrics - as in "Enchanted."
The archness and wit of Wickeds lyrics will creep up on you upon repeated listening, and youll marvel at the way he spins words to amuse!
I love this show... Ive seen it 4x, and my daughter cant seem to get enough of it either. Even in its later years, it still feels fresh and new.

Surprisingly moving
Great performances, but a little bit of "So then we wrote another song... and it went something like this!" gets in the way of a sometimes surprisingly moving plot. The best of the jukebox shows.

I looked up... and yawned
Call me crazy, but I thought this show was interminable. Like a bad movie with a good cinematographer, there were a couple of transcendent moments, but the whole thing just felt empty and kind of dumb.
If youre in your 20s and like to jump up and down, you might like this show, but for anyone with a brain, look elsewhere. My kids didnt like it, and neither did I.
Its as though someone had one cool idea - yeah, lets have a transparent swimming pool above the audience, and then spent $2 million crafting a plotless framing device for that one cool idea.

RE:A great new musical
A fantastic cast, spare sets and a thoughtful book, combined with amazing songs make this show a quick and enjoyable experience. Totally worth it.

I've never seen audiences love a show like this
I totally disagree with the previous posted who said this was fun only for kids.
4 play is filled with some of the most amazing juggling youll ever see, and some astonishing music and imagery.
The show explores the relationship between music and juggling, and I just thought what they did onstage was incredible. The audience gets to bring onstage any object they want, and sure enough, one of the jugglers managed to keep a giant octopus, an oil filled jar and a hamburger in the air.
Kids of any age would LOVE this, but its a little like Monty Python - once you get beyond the slapstick, theres often some pretty serious stuff going on.
This show is fast, funny, and extremely witty. MUCH better than CATS!
