(© Joan Marcus) | Full casting has been announced for the new national tour of Jonathan Larson's award-winning musical Rent, which begins at Cleveland's Playhouse Square, January 6-11. The tour will continue through August 2009, stopping in over 20 cities including Philadelphia, Newark, Chicago, San Diego, Houston, Seattle, and Boston.
The tour will feature original Broadway cast stars Adam Pascal as Roger and Anthony Rapp as Mark, along with Nicolette Hart as Maureen, Justin Johnston as Angel, Lexi Lawson as Mimi, Michael McElroy as Tom Collins, Gwen Stewart as the "Seasons of Love" soloist, Jacques C. Smith as Benjamin Coffin III, and Haneefah Wood as Joanne Jefferson. The ensemble is rounded out by Karmine Alers, Toby Blackwell, Adam Halpin, Trisha Jeffrey, Telly Leung, Caren Lyn Manuel, Jed Resnick, Andy Senor, Yuka Takara, and John Watson.
