After a successful run at Theatre Passe Muraille, The Drowsy Chaperone moves to the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre. A Broadway producer is desperate to stop the marriage of his leading lady, because she has announced that once she marries she will retire from the stage. The producer is forced to appease his gangster investors, who are unhappy about losing their star. Enter Adolpho, who could be the one to entice the star from her husband-to-be. This is a musical that pokes fun at musicals! The story is based on a book by Don McKellar and Bob Martin. Music is by Greg Morrison.
