This self-proclaimed "junk opera" is one of the great theater success stories of the 1990s, having toured the world to sold-out houses and ecstatic reviews. Direct from extended runs at The Kennedy Center and in New York, this wonderously inventive production makes its only Canadian appearance at du Maurier World Stage Festival.
Inspired by the nightmarish Struwwelpeter, a collection of dark and dangerous cautionary tales written by Heinrich Hoffman in 1845, this is a horribly perfect night of entertainment, marvelously original and atmospheric show with stunning effects.
