The fates of a bunch of lovable losers collide in a seedy motel room. In Problem Child, ex-con R.J. and former prostitute Denise anxiously await a disapproving social worker's decision about their daughter's future. Hatching a desperate plan, Denise enlists the help of the alcoholic motel manager to retrieve her daughter from foster care. Hilarious mayhem follows, complete with hidden bodies, TV talk shows, and acts of drunken heroism.

Criminal Genius sees the return of Rolly and Stevie Moore, the father/son team of incompetent small-time crooks from Beautiful City (produced by Alumnae Theatre in 2002). After botching an arson 'assignment', the duo attempts to dig out of their predicament by kidnapping a crime kingpin's daughter, only to have the situation spiral wildly out of control.
