Tony and Emmy-winner Andrea Martin will participate in Canadian Children’s Book Week by reading Mordecai Richler’s classic children’s book Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang at the Young Centre’s Marilyn and Charles Baillie Theatre on Saturday, November 14, 2pm.

The story, abridged by David S. Craig, is about a little boy who has to say everything twice in order to be heard by his older brothers and sisters. Canadian Children’s Book Week runs November 14-21.

Martin won a Tony Award for My Favorite Year and was Tony-nominated for Candide, Oklahoma!, and Young Frankenstein. She most recently appeared on Broadway in Exit the King, for which she received a Drama Desk nomination. She is well known for her work with the comedy troupe SCTV (for which she won two Emmy Awards) and for such films as My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
