Des McAnuff and Jersey Boys Win Australia’s Green Room Awards

The musical Jersey Boys has won seven Green Room Awards, which honor excellence on the Melbourne, Australia’s professional stage.

In addition to Best Musical, the production won awards for director Des McAnuff, choreographer Sergio Trujillo, musical director Luke Hunter, scenic designer Klara Zieglerova, lighting designer Howell Binkley, and sound designer Steve Canyon Kennedy.

Among the other award winners were Brink Productions/Melbourne Theatre Company’s production of When the Rain Stops Falling, the new Australian musical Once We Lived Here, director Simon Phillips for August: Osage County, and that production’s star, Robyn Nevin who plays Violet.
