WaterTower Theatre's highly acclaimed Out of the Loop Festival returns for its sixth year. WTT teams with performing arts organizations from around the region to bring all three spaces at the Addison Theatre Centre to life with exciting, contemporary works. "Go Loopy" during this 10-day celebration of theatre, dance, music and art.
Headlining the festival is WaterTower Theatre's production of The Great American Trailer Park Musical, written by Betsy Kelso and David Nehls. The double-wide divas of this fine housing establishment have survived everything from kidnapping to no-good men to bad perms. But When Pippi, a "stripper on the run," comes between agoraphobic housewife Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband, a storm begins to brew that will shake these manufactured homes right down to their mobile foundations.
On Friday, March 2 the Imagination Movers sing about messy rooms, healthy snacks, sibling rivalry and other topics that relate to being a little kid. Their musical style, however, would sound right at home on a weekly MTV countdown. Performances are at 10:00am and 2:00pm. Individual tickets for this event are $15.00.
