Tina Denmark was born to entertain and she'll do anything -- and we mean anything -- to ensure that she plays the leading role in the school musical, Pippi in Tahiti. When she isn't cast and Louise Lerman, an unfortunate-looking and tone deaf classmate gets the lead, Tina takes matters into her own hands to ensure that she plays the part on opening night. When Tina's heinous act is discovered, she is sent to the Daisy Clover School for Psycopathic Ingenues. Judy Denmark discovers that her mother, theatre critic Lita Encore was actually a Broadway star, Ruth Del Marco. The news prompts Judy to become "Ginger Del Marco" and she takes to the stage, claiming the star career that might have belonged to Tina.
