Alan Campbell, Lauren Kennedy et al. Set for Gulfshore Playhouse’s Sweet Charity Gala Concert

Lauren Kennedy will star in the title role of the musical Sweet Charity, in a gala concert event entitled Bubbles, Baubles, and Broadway at Gulfshore Playhouse in Naples, Florida on February 4, 2012 at 6pm.

The concert version, replete with Fosse-style dancing, will also feature Alan Campbell as Oscar and Franc D’Ambrosio as Vittorio, as well as HeidiMarie Ferren and Summer Broyhill as The Fandango Girls.

The musical — featuring a book by Neil Simon and score by Cy Coleman and Dorothy Fields — follows the indomitable romantic Charity Hope Valentine, as she searches for love in all the wrong places. Songs include “Hey, Big Spender,” “There’s Gotta Be Something Better Than This” and “If My Friends Could See Me Now.”
