Rosemary Prinz to Star in Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers for Three-State Tour

Stage and screen star Rosemary Prinz will star in a production of Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers that will start at Florida’s Maltz Jupiter Theatre (December 1-13), move to Ohio’s Cleveland Play House (January 8-31), and end up at New Jersey’s Paper Mill Playhouse (February17-March 14). Michael Bloom will direct.

This Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning coming-of-age tale is set in the summer of 1942, and follows two boys being raised by a band of eccentric relatives. Prinz plays the harsh immigrant matriarch of the family. The cast will also include Max Beer (Arty), Patricia Buckley (Gert), Tony Crane (Louie), John Plumpis (Eddie), Sara Surrey (Bella), and Alex Wyse (Jay).

Prinz’s Broadway credits include The Grey-Eyed People, Prisoner of Second Avenue, Three Men on a Horse, Tonight in Samarkand, and Tribute. She originated the role of M’Lynn in the Off-Broadway production of Steel Magnolias, appeared as Penny Hughes in As the World Turns on CBS for 12 years, and later starred on ABC’s All My Children.
