Throughout the month, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre will serve up some romance, comedy and music, beginning with Bernard Slade’s Same Time, Next Year (November 6-18), the romantic comedy that follows a couple from a fateful meeting at a California inn through a 26-year-long affair as their relationship is impacted by a changing global climate. Immediately on that show’s heels, catch Robert Dubac’s Male Intellect: An Oxymoron? (November 19-20). The ninety-minute show combines theater with stand-up comedy to highlight and celebrate the differences between the sexes. Then, on November 23rd, Rockapella helps usher in The Season with A Rockapella Holiday. Blending soul, rock, R & B, and jazz, the five-man a capella group offers their unique versions of some holiday favorites.

Also in Jupiter, catch Beatlemania: The Tribute on November 17. Authentic costumes, impeccable vocals and vintage equipment help bring the Fab Four and some of the greatest music ever written to the Atlantic Theatre stage.

At the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, Vivica A. Fox, Boris Kodjor, and Richard Roundtree (Shaft!), get things started with Whatever She Wants on November 5. The comedy is about a woman who, after suffering one heartbreak too many, decides to open a private club where women run the show and men must qualify for admission. Heartbreak, hilarity and a little family drama ensue, all on the way to romance.

Phil Rosenthal and Monica Horan invite you Inside the Writer’s Room of the hit television show Everybody Loves Raymond on November 10 & 11. Using video clips, intimate anecdotes, and a lively Q & A, the pair reveals how the realities of their own lives helped fuel one of America’s funniest sitcoms. On November 12 catch A Tale of Two Cities Radio Drama, which uses live actors and sound effects to create the audio landscape of one the world’s classic stories. The show will be simulcast on 90.7 WXEL-FM. For musical lovers, there’s Beehive: The ’60s Musical from November 15-17, followed by 3 Mo’ Divas on the 19th and The Best of Broadway on the 26th and 27th.

The Broward Center in Ft. Lauderdale is loaded primarily with family entertainment. Catch The Tweaksters on November 2, If You Give a Pig a Party on November 3, Legends of Sleepy Hollow on the sixth, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular on the eighth, and Charlotte’s Web on the ninth. Then, from November 23 to December 2, Avi Hoffman and the New Vista Theatre Company bring Funny Girl to the center. Irene Adjan stars as Fanny Brice.

Klea Blackhurst makes the Royal Room in Palm Beach her home from November 15-24; she’s followed by KT Sullivan and Mark Nadler November 29-December 8; Ft. Lauderdale’s Rising Action Theatre Company presents Steven Brinberg in Simply Barbra from November 30 – December 23; the Mosaic Theatre in Plantation puts on Jeff Daniels’ Guest Artist, November 29-December 23; Lake Worth Playhouse presents another autobiographical work, Carol Burnett’s Hollywood Arms (November 16 – December 9); in Miami, catch Sunday in the Park with George at the Jerry Herman Ring Theatre (November 7-17); in Miami Lakes, Alliance Theatre Lab presents Danny and the Deep Blue Sea (November 29 – December 17); and in Coral Gables, New Theatre presents For Better (November 8 – December 9), a romantic comedy for the digital age, while Actors’ Playhouse showcases Martha Mitchell Calling (Miracle Theatre, November 28-December 23), about the larger-than-life Southern socialite who blew the whistle on the Nixon administration.

Middle and Northern Florida have a tendency to go ignored with all the offerings one can find in the south, but there are productions worth examining up top. On November 3, the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center invites you to bring the family to WHOOPS. The physical comedy follows a trio of dim witted employees of the Worldwide Handlers Of Outgoing Packages Service. As the three find mishaps in every box, slapstick comedy abounds. From November 6-11, you can be a part of Tony ‘n Tina’s Wedding at the Lakeland Center. The interactive show also includes an Italian buffet dinner, champagne toast, and wedding cake. On November 27, the Capitol Steps bring their blend of political humor to the Maxwell C. King Center in Melbourne through December 2. And finally, the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre presents A Tuna Christmas at the Lowndes Shakespeare Centre from November 28-December 23.
