Works by Joe DiPietro, David Mamet and More Set for FST’s 2010-2011 Season

Florida Studio Theatre has announced productions for its 2010-2011 Mainstage season, which will begin with the musical, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (November 10-January 2), featuring book and lyrics by 2010 Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro, with music by Jimmy Roberts.

The season will continue with The 39 Steps (December 8-January 30), based on Alfred Hitchcock’s movie of the same title, and adapted by Patrick Barlow. Next up will be the legal drama Race (January 26-March 20), by David Mamet. The season will conclude with Michael Hollinger’s Ghost-Writer (April 6-May 29).

FST’s cabaret season will include The Wanderers, developed by Richard Hopkins, Rebecca Langford and Jim Prosser (October 15-January 1), featuring music of the 1950s and 60s; Brassy Broads: The Next Generation, developed by Hopkins and Prosser (January 5-March 19), a tribute to the divas of the American stage and screen; and Laughing Matters: Unconditional Surrender (March 30-June 12), a comedic revue of today’s cultural and political ironies.
