Florida Repertory Theatre Announces 2012-2013 Season

Florida Repertory Theatre has announced plans for its 2012-2013 season.

The season will open with Ken Ludwig’s Tony Award-winning farce Lend Me a Tenor (October 23-November 17). Next up will be Talley’s Folly (November 27-December 16), the Pulitzer Prize-winning romance by Lanford Wilson. In January, Florida Rep will present Lillian Hellman’s story of lies, deceit, treachery, and betrayal The Little Foxes (January 1-26). Continuing the season will be the new comedy Miracle on South Division Street (February 5-March 2) by Tom Dudzick.

In the spring will be Jon Robin Baitz’s darkly funny family portrait Other Desert Cities (March 12-April 6) and Willy Russell’s Olivier Award-winning comedy Educating Rita (April 16-May 5).

The season will also include four productions in the newly-renovated ArtStage Studio Theatre. These productions will include Mark St. Germain’s comedy about Edison and Ford, Camping With Henry & Tom. Next will be the holiday bonus feature The Santaland Diaries (December 19-30), written by David Sedaris and adapted by Joe Mantello. Donald Margulies’ Tony-nominated Time Stands Still (January 23-February 16) will follow, and The Fantasticks (March 20-April 13), the world’s longest-running musical love story with book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt, will bring the new theater’s season to a close.
