Florida Studio Theatre (FST) will host the 2009 Sarasota Improv Festival, July 10-11, which will present improv groups from around the country as well as workshops and music in FST's Goldstein Cabaret.

On July 10, featured groups will include Audience of Two and City Hall from New York City; Atlanta's Dad's Garage; and Goodbye Mailbox from Los Angeles. There will also be an Improv Jam, free to weekend pass holders, at 11:00 pm after the performances.

On July 11, featured groups will include Slave Leia from Los Angeles; New York City's Booth and Pat; Available Cupholders from Austin, Texas; Florida Studio Theatre's Kids Komedy Cabaret; Sarasota's Lazy Fairy and Vintage Whine; Boston's Thy Will Be Done and Orlando's SAK. There will also be an Improv Jam, free to weekend pass holders, at 11:40 pm after the performances.
