New Theatre Announces 2011-2012 Season

Miami’s New Theater has announced its 2011-2012 season of plays.

Henry V will get the season started with Shakespeare’s final play about the English reigning family, August 26-September 11. Next Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them, a new play which examines the lives of two all but abandoned teens who have to create a makeshift family, will be presented October 14-30. Playing from December 2-18 will be Twain and Shaw Do Lunch, a play based on the actual first meeting of Mark Twain and George Bernard Shaw.

Winter, a play in which twins must arrange for the funeral of their mother, will kick off 2012, January 27-February 12. Closing the season will be the world premier of Property Lines, a comic drama about real estate and territorial instinct, March 23 – April 8, and one play that is to be announced which will run May 18-June 3.
