Asolo Rep to Present Lypsinka in The Passion of the Crawford May 9

Asolo Repertory Theatre, in Sarasota, Florida, will present a one-night engagement of The Passion of the Crawford, featuring John Epperson in his drag persona, Lypsinka. Kevin Malony directs the performance, which will be presented on Monday, May 9 at 8pm.

Utilizing almost entirely recorded soundbytes of Joan Crawford, the piece is not merely a Joan Crawford impersonation, but a fantasia on the persona of Miss Crawford. Steve Cuiffo co-stars as The Interviewer.

The creative team includes Grady Hendrix (projections), Ramona Ponce (costume design), Paul Huntley (wig creation), Markus Fokken (wig styling), Robert Sorrell (jewelry), Alexis Del Lago (shoes), John Epperson (sound design) and Dan-O-Rama (video sequences).
