18th Annual Orlando Fringe Festival Set for Orlando Shakespeare Theatre and Orlando REP

The 18th Annual Orlando Fringe Festival is set to run, May 14-24, with 74 productions from a collection of Florida companies. Staged productions will take place at Orlando Shakespeare Theatre and Orlando REP Theatre, and the OutDoor Stage at Loch Haven Park will feature poetry, music, dancing, and an open-mic.

The festival will feature a wide gamut of productions, with highlights including Elegies: for punks, angels, and raging queens from Checkerboard Productions, May 15-22, a dramatic and musical theater piece composed of free verse poems and songs reflecting the lives of people who have lived with and died from AIDS; EDGES: A Song Cycle, May 15-24, a musical revue by young American songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul; and Penguin Point Productions’ presentation of the musical Zanna, Don’t!, May 15-24.
