Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre has announced its selections for its 2008-2009 season, which will feature two Tony-award winners for Best Musical, a world premiere musical, a new play, and two contemporary, comedic musicals.

The season will begin with the multiple Tony Award winning musical 1776 (October 1-November 2), a chronicle of the birth of our country. Next up is a new comedy, Gutenberg! The Musical! (December 3-January 4), written by Scott Brown and Anthony King. The world premiere of Miami Bombshells, The Musical opens the new year, January 14-February 8, followed by Les Misérables, March 4-April 5.

The season continues with the Florida premiere of Havana Bourgeois by Carlos Lacámara, May 6-June 7. Closing out the 2008-2009 season is Married Alive!, a comic couples musical, July 8-August 16.
