Jason Danieley, Kelli O’Hara Join Boston Pops for Florida Tour

Broadway veterans Jason Danieley and Kelli O’Hara will join the Boston Pops for a March tour of Florida, in a program honoring composer Cole Porter.

The program will feature songs such as “Night and Day,” “I GetA Kick Out of You,” “What Is This Thing Called Love?” “Begin the Beguine,” “It’s De-Lovely.”

O’Hara has received Tony nominations for her performances in South Pacific, The Light in the Piazza, and The Pajama Game. As previously reported, she will appear with Nathan Gunn and the New York Philharmonic for a concert of songs and duets from the Golden Age of Broadway at Avery Fisher Hall on March 21.

Danieley most recently starred on Broadway in Next to Normal, with other theater credits including The Full Monty, Candide, Strike Up the Band, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and Floyd Collins. He also played Lt. Joe Cable in the Emmy Award-nominated airing of PBS Great Performances’ South Pacific at Carnegie Hall.

The tour will play Van Wezel PAH – Sarasota (March 15), Ruth Eckerd Hall – Clearwater (March 16), Northland, A Church Distributed – Sanctuary – Longwood (March 18), Arsht Arts Center/Knight Concert Hall – Miami (March 19), and Kravis Center/Dreyfoos Concert Hall – West Palm Beach (March 20).
