Rob Anderson to Direct Tracy Letts’ Superior Donuts at Mad Cow Theatre

Tracy Letts’ Superior Donuts will get one of its first post-Broadway productions at the Mad Cow Theatre in Orlando, running March 19 – April 18. Rob Anderson will direct.

The play focuses on the owner of a decrepit donut shop in an uptown neighborhood of Chicago, who attempts to help Franco Wicks, a black teenager who is his only employee. Casting and creative team will be announced at a later date.

Anderson’s other credits include productions of William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin’s The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and J.B. Priestley’s An Inspector Calls.
